Since 1957, Economy Locker, LLC has served the foodservice industry as a trusted wholesale meat, cheese, and foodservice purveyor. We proudly manufacture and distribute our signature line, Country Store Brand Meats, which can be found in a wide variety of grocery store chains, convenience stores, and butcher shops.
Beyond our proprietary brand, we supply a comprehensive selection of premium fresh and frozen meats, cheeses, foodservice essentials, spices, casings, and meat processing supplies.

Company History
Economy Locker Storage Co., Inc. was incorporated in 1957. The original company combined Springman’s Store in Pennsdale, Pa., Worthington’s Meats and Slaughterhouse in Pennsdale, Pa, the Grower’s Market in Williamsport, Pa and a Freezer Locker and Storage plant in the Grower’s Market in Williamsport, Pa. Our company adopted the Country Store Brand name soon afterwards and Springman’s Store changed its name to the Country Store.
Our present wholesale facility was built and opened for business in 1971 in Pennsdale, Pa around the same time the Williamsport grower’s market closed. The Freezer Locker and Storage facility was sold when the grower’s market closed, and Worthington’s Meats closed its retail stand as a result as well. Worthington’s Slaughterhouse in Pennsdale, Pa moved its operations next door to our newly constructed facility. Business steadily grew and we came under inspection from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) in 1971. This enabled us to expand distribution of Country Store Brand Products, which we still make at Economy Locker, LLC to this day.
New family members entered the business as original business partners left the business. Many additions have been added to our current facility over the years. The next generation of family members began to retire and as a result, the original store in Pensdale, The Country Store was sold and became Springman’s Country Store. Springman’s Country Store closed in November of 2018 and has not reopened.
Economy Locker Storage Co., Inc. was recently purchased by Economy Locker, LLC in 2021.
The new ownership group is fully committed to honoring the company's legacy by producing the same exceptional products and carrying forward the renowned Country Store Brand Meats name. To support this vision, ownership has made significant capital investments to completely modernize our machinery and facility infrastructure. These state-of-the-art upgrades ensure the highest standards of efficiency, safety, and product consistency while preserving the time-honored recipes our customers love.
